Parish Kohanim in Atlanta
I had the great pleasure to shoot Parish Kohanim who is an amazing commercial and fine art photographer in Atlanta. Parish frequently shoots portraits of Cirque de Soleil performers and other exquisite subjects.
Parish invited us into his studio to participate in a shoot with a lovely model and a set design based on a vision of a very contemporary study of light and color. The impressionistic backdrop was hand painted by two local artists. The set was adorned with hundreds of magnificent flowers. It took several days for Parish to work with the artisans to design and arrange. We were fortunate to be there the day before the shoot and witnessed painters and florists transforming the set from a simple plain white photo wall to a magnificent opulent display of color and light.
It was a sheer pleasure to work with Parish and learn more about his approach to a shoot and more importantly what makes him so unique, how he crafts his vision. This was truly a very interesting “behind the scenes” look at how a true artist works.
